Package: lists.debian.org Severity: important This is a bit old, but I couldn't find any report, and I don't know whether this (rare?) problem is known and/or has been fixed...
I found the following in my mail archive: Received: from bendel.debian.org (unknown [IPv6:2001:41b8:202:deb:216:38ff:fe0e:1ca7]) by ioooi.vinc17.net (Postfix) with ESMTPS id C39A76CA for <vinc...@vinc17.net>; Sun, 10 Feb 2013 18:29:47 +0100 (CET) i.e. the IP address from which bendel.debian.org connected to my mail server had no PTR record, and this is still the case for this IP address: $ host 2001:41b8:202:deb:216:38ff:fe0e:1ca7 Host 7.a.c.1.e.0.e.f.f.f.8.3.6.1.2.0.b.e.d.0.2.0.2.0.8.b.1.4.1.0.0.2.ip6.arpa not found: 3(NXDOMAIN) This could yield to loss of mail if the recipient uses rules such as reject_unknown_reverse_client_hostname (Postfix), which I intended to use. It seems that it is not the usual IPv6 address used by bendel.debian.org. I'm wondering whether problems can still occur in some occasions or this was just a temporary mistake... -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'oldstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.8-1-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=POSIX, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
