Package: nginx-light Version: 1.2.6-1 Severity: normal Hello,
It seems like I'm hitting this case since upgrade frome Wheezy to Jessie: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/14972792/nginx-nginx-emerg-bind-to-80-failed-98-address-already-in-use dpkg backed-up my previous config, and it seems like the statement ipv6only=on was present in /etc/nginx/sites-available/default. Adding it solved my issue, Cheers --- Error messages --- # /etc/init.d/nginx start [....] Starting nginx: nginxnginx: [emerg] bind() to [::]:80 failed (98: Address already in use) nginx: [emerg] bind() to [::]:80 failed (98: Address already in use) nginx: [emerg] bind() to [::]:80 failed (98: Address already in use) nginx: [emerg] bind() to [::]:80 failed (98: Address already in use) nginx: [emerg] bind() to [::]:80 failed (98: Address already in use) ^C --- System information. --- Architecture: amd64 Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-4-rt-amd64 Debian Release: 7.0 500 unstable debian.freelan.org 500 testing ftp.fr.debian.org 500 testing archive.sileht.net 500 stable ftp.fr.debian.org 500 precise ppa.launchpad.net --- Package information. --- Depends (Version) | Installed =============================-+-============= nginx-common (= 1.2.6-1) | 1.2.6-1 libc6 (>= 2.10) | libpcre3 (>= 8.10) | libssl1.0.0 (>= 1.0.0) | zlib1g (>= 1:1.1.4) | Package's Recommends field is empty.
