Here are some other remarks: I’m not totally convinced $(ENGLISHDIR)/releases/releases.data is the best place to define a list of architecture that will need to be updated at release time (we have not handled these release pretty nicely, but there is much we could have prepared in advance, too bad many web people were in VAC before the release): templates/debian/release_info is almost the only file that needs an update at release time currently (once all the rest is prepared). distro-info could provide the list of name and release number without the need to manually maintain a duplicate in a separate file. + my $status = '<gettext domain="distrib">— no release date has been set</gettext>'; How can we document the release date once it has been set? At least in French, the punctuation mark at the end of an item is not the same for the last item. We also used to distinguish the obsolete versions from the oldstable one (during the end of its lifetime). I failed to bring that back when I updated this page in a hurry during the night between Saturday and Sunday, but maybe it would be nice to include back this feature if we’re going to automatize this list. Regards David
