Which architecture did you test with?

It failed for both (linux-)i386 and kfreebsd-i386 in my kvm.
Patched source builds fine on both (linux-)i386 and kfreebsd-i386 in my kvm.

Host OS is wheezy (linux-)amd64, with Intel Core2 Duo CPU.
And inside kvm under (linux-)i386:
