Brightness control via Fn + F8 and Fn + F9 used to work on my X121e until a few days ago. Now it doesn't. I updated the Kernel package. I'll try to reboot with the older kernel and report back. I can set the screen brightness with echo $BRIGHTNESS >/sys/class/backlight/acpi_video0/brightness Regards, Thomas Koch - -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers experimental APT policy: (500, 'experimental'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.8-1-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages acpi-support depends on: ii acpi-fakekey 0.141-2 ii acpi-support-base 0.141-2 ii acpid 1:2.0.18-1 ii lsb-base 4.1+Debian10 ii pm-utils 1.4.1-9 ii x11-xserver-utils 7.7~3 Versions of packages acpi-support recommends: ii rfkill 0.4-2 ii xscreensaver 5.15-3 Versions of packages acpi-support suggests: ii radeontool 1.6.2-1.1 ii vbetool 1.1-3 ii xinput 1.6.0-1 - -- no debconf information -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.12 (GNU/Linux) iQIcBAEBCAAGBQJRk+ApAAoJEAf8SJEEK6ZaxPcQAMEG/r/cQwD4FHqoD1gLpVJh 0hqSi6R0J6Mrq2reBiMvQF8RaJ+5BNAUBJAvWLA21VbHz3d1Eu2J3U8WcMRdgs1D XuFQ+Cd41iLkgkZpB2SDUmMOHvzxpmyQkZxiWZ9kNQyD8flmCSFcPWQCyxRd8QPX L1T8Hxa+NEEWbvWbO6zmNrxxBTGMgo8g9cMaTRKL2n4JeIZsAuqEBe4fNeXBX+PP ZJfRLNMb1kX46KRvDXRThW05gQMzHCeUODG/wbj12kcbW7HEn0z748ULthSzDTIO y/CiL+lvJ271l8ss1MDUo46TKuuW4a2zlZbp6a3gYUp0Er0nIxQjafvByQotDZHJ mmPunXuYeEZLqjQene7SuWaPUQMhnaT/cHnq7SISJtsRZVteIy4JfJ/ZQzqGnPTj aC2R6zxLbGgOFVAON5VjawYZ0TQOqLMmY7pexz6j6qxhnfsCnada2uagutpx42T8 jw+ihwHBXUiFhOOHt+lMKFJKvff46+6GXs1sMdX6OVAeIjMqk2vzdyc3fwavXTQ1 03EtiVqJJ3nGDKrV7878Q0oDV32CUpcq9P/eoIp7kI7ogDmthixRBiA/oqAF1pbl +xQi6EDZ8mTjIrF5HK34A5ywQF+EBxnjaRM/mSvYO+5OQUvBEw7NKbHI7CJm4bw2 o1lQO2dQlHjacoqHC10d =YQcm -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
