Package: syslinux-themes-debian Version: 12-1.1 Followup-For: Bug #591682 This is a terrible hack, but it might be helpful to someone else while waiting for a proper theme-based solution to be released.
I use this line in /etc/extlinux/default:
EXTLINUX_TIMEOUT="50\nserial 0 38400"
so that the generated extlinux.conf file looks like this:
...
timeout 50
serial 0 38400
...
