Hi. While getfattr now provides and exit status in case of missing attributes, I think the issue is not really solved, as they use "1" which they seem to use for all other errors (e.g. not xattr support at all, too). So the "fix" doesn't really give us what we likely want, namely a dedicated exit status for not existent attrs. I've also noted this in the upstream thread[0].
