Please sleep over this. This sounds funny to me.

The debian wine package maintainers want upstream software
to adapt to a debian wine package that does not install the files that the 
package claims to 
fulfill the dependency for?

Pushing patches upstream instead of providing a package with a fixed workaround
until the cross-arch dependecy can be properly resolved?
With humor it can give a good laugh.
