You may be right but to me the fact that upstream have timeout in front of SSH authentication is an evidence that both related symptoms will be likely to be fixed together. It was easier to forward them together as well. If upstream threat them as separate issues I'll make sure that we won't accidentally close our bugs together. By the way when issues are clearly not in packaging you may save some time by reporting them directly to upstream bug tracker...
