Dear Adrian,
Even with your patch applied I can still reproduce crash with
(un-)staging files and hunks.
Upstream made no comments about your patch and they re-factored gitg
code so this problem is fixed in its later versions.
Since latest gitg is now available from wheezy-backports do you think
we shall just close this bug?
