Package: nvidia-kernel-source
Version: 1.0.7174-4
Severity: normal

The nVidia kernel module does not work on linux kernel 2.6.14.i
It installs fine and modprobe does not give error messages, but
no /dev/nvidia* devices show up. This is acknowledged by zander
from nVidia Corporation in
http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=715440, where he
states that that the pre-7676 modules will not work together with
sysfs/udev. BTW: I have the module working fine on kernel 2.6.12.

Best regards,
Marco
