Could you clarify? Since there is no NEWS or ANNOUNCEMENTS or any kind of file like that in the upstream sources ( nor any mention of it in the debian changelog ) which makes note of this high impact change, it is unclear what was intended and what needs done to deal with it. After spending an hour looking through the upstream git repository, I finally found a commit that indicated the names were swapped with the old symlink, and that a symlink from what was the previous binary name had replaced it. These symlinks are missing from the debian package, which seems to be a packaging error. If you intend to drop what used to be the main name, then you really need to announce that prominently and leave symlinks for the old name in place for some time. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.17 (MingW32) Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://www.enigmail.net/ iQEcBAEBAgAGBQJR7Zv7AAoJEJrBOlT6nu75HwYH/AukG2VXB4If+Oehl1IQdGSN r9voNNs/dJ+edbbASJTu2a7Uj2R7flO82vxW47qS0SSl5XijxQT7wQCEPvu7Rx00 hYSLipeTzVlLkhPEQ0/A+kRcnWgJZs33p2jx1cWUHaia8jUuKF6Dut1BLbcDkPjq HC6GZKS+C7GdixxMbrlG22OcVdd9WHTlcGuuQoz7KDHnayCT3/3Dvhz9pRpWtqad zTsWEeD93pm7ZYCSK0sC7ZI1Yl1lSdaFvWjDX5C52TRk6ACn/3D+0gpTtFhqudDx zj/sb61G54tCJywPk8BLKmvDeRQbWJ+1Y3fRQgpBu458qL3hkB3aM7kcZjP81No= =YxY+ -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
