Package: system-config-printer Version: 1.4.1-3 Severity: important Hi,
When trying to add a new printer I get the following backtrace: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/share/system-config-printer/newprinter.py", line 3587, in on_tvNPModels_cursor_changed self.fillDriverList(self.NPMake, pmodel) File "/usr/share/system-config-printer/newprinter.py", line 3539, in fillDriverList iter = model.append ((driver + _(" (recommended)"),)) UnicodeDecodeError: 'ascii' codec can't decode byte 0xc3 in position 11: ordinal not in range(128) This seems to be related to the French translation of "recommended" (using fr_BE.utf8 locales). Changing the locales to "C" is preventing this backtrace Cheers Laurent Bigonville -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.10-1-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=fr_BE.utf8, LC_CTYPE=fr_BE.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages system-config-printer depends on: ii gir1.2-gdkpixbuf-2.0 2.28.2-1 ii gir1.2-glib-2.0 1.36.0-2+b1 ii gir1.2-gtk-3.0 3.8.2-3 ii gir1.2-notify-0.7 0.7.5-2 ii gir1.2-packagekitglib-1.0 0.8.10-1 ii gir1.2-pango-1.0 1.32.5-5+b1 ii gnome-icon-theme 3.8.2-2 ii python 2.7.5-2 ii python-cups 1.9.62-2 ii python-cupshelpers 1.4.1-3 ii python-dbus 1.2.0-2 ii python-libxml2 2.9.1+dfsg1-2 ii python-support 1.0.15 Versions of packages system-config-printer recommends: ii cups-pk-helper 0.2.5-1 ii gir1.2-gnomekeyring-1.0 3.8.0-2 ii python-smbc 1.0.6-1+b1 ii system-config-printer-udev 1.4.1-3 Versions of packages system-config-printer suggests: pn python-gnomekeyring <none> pn sessioninstaller <none> -- no debconf information -- debsums errors found: sh: 1: /usr/sbin/dpkg-divert: not found -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
