We've fixed this for us with net-tools 1.60-24.2.oxix.0 in our own <http://7-0.debian.packages.oxix.org/> in the "oxix-unstable-upgrades" distribution.
Others are welcome to use it from there if they so wish, or grab the source package for themselves. Currently only available for amd64 but happy to build and add for other archs if that would be useful to anyone.
