If it turns out that any changes need to be made to bumblebee's packaging, let me know and I'll fix it ASAP. Other than that...I admit I'm not very well versed in how the alternatives system and dpkg's diversions work (I've only dealt with the former a little bit while initially packaging bumblebee, and I have no experience with the latter), and I've only just begun to take a closer look at this bug and a few clones recently.
