I'm currently uploading libav9 to unstable, but I head to weaken the dependencies for libx264, opencv and frei0r, which all (but frei0r) in turn require libav9 to build AFAIUI: http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=pkg-multimedia/libav.git;a=commit;h=79cad71e56cb2ff50631558f663c8582469a0460 Next steps involve bringing these three packages from experimental to unstable, and then rebuild libav against them. I'll contact you if binNMUs of libav9 are possible, or if a sourceful upload is necessary anyways. In any case, thank you for scheduling this transition and your great work on bringing jessie along!
