Package: dpkg
Version: 1.17.1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

The '-C' short-form of the '--no-close' option does not work. It
probably just needs to be added to the call to getopt_long circa
line 836.

The following error message is displayed when attempting to run
start-stop-daemon with a '-C' option specified:

    start-stop-daemon: invalid option -- 'C'
Try 'start-stop-daemon --help' for more information.
