Hi, Quickly looking at this, it seems that this bug should have been assigned to both gnome-control-center and gnome-settings-daemon.
Do you think you could rebuild the version currently in experimental to test if this change is actually not breaking anything (and maybe also fixing your other bug?), I'm not sure that a lot of people in the gnome team are actually using ibus.
