Package: garmin-forerunner-tools Version: 0.10repacked-3 Severity: important Tags: upstream
Dear Maintainer, * What led up to the situation? After updating to garmin-forerunner-toools-0.10repacked-3, the package binaries fail to connect to the GPS watch. The error message is $ garmin_get_info Error: command 5 not supported A google search on this issue brought me to the upstream bug tracker, http://code.google.com/p/garmintools/issues/detail?id=35, where someone else has found it on Arch Linux and found that it was due to an issue when compiling with GCC 4.8. There is a patch attached to that bug, but I have not tested it to confirm that it's the same bug. The build logs for this version of the debian package shows that it was built with gcc 4.8, however. -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (900, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages garmin-forerunner-tools depends on: ii libc6 2.17-92 ii libusb-0.1-4 2:0.1.12-23.2 garmin-forerunner-tools recommends no packages. garmin-forerunner-tools suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
