Package: jack Version: 3.1.1+cvs20050801-29 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
I am not able to encode anything with flac (the default encoder). Ripping goes fine -- the *.wav files are generated. In the jack output I get sth like: ,---- | track_01: 3.90x [ ] coding failed, err#8 | track_02: 4.69x [ ] coding failed, err#8 | track_03: 5.37x [ ] coding failed, err#8 | track_04: 4.92x [ ] coding failed, err#8 `---- In /var/log/messages I see ,---- | [57335.810591] traps: flac[16964] trap divide error ip:414a1c sp:7fffb2eadb10 error:0 in flac[400000+2d000] | [57335.905708] traps: flac[16965] trap divide error ip:414a1c sp:7fffa6b859d0 error:0 in flac[400000+2d000] | [57335.975238] traps: flac[16966] trap divide error ip:414a1c sp:7fff08d64ff0 error:0 in flac[400000+2d000] | [57336.039607] traps: flac[16967] trap divide error ip:414a1c sp:7fff70913cc0 error:0 in flac[400000+2d000] `---- So, encoding fails and the *.wav files are not converted to *.flac. This used to work for me and must be the effect of a recent apt-get upgrade. BTW: I seem to be not the only one affected: http://linuxaudio.org/mailarchive/lau/2013/7/22/201049 BTW2: 'flac track_01.wav' works and produces the track_01.flac Regards -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (650, 'testing'), (600, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.10-2-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages jack depends on: ii cdparanoia 3.10.2+debian-11 ii flac 1.3.0-1 ii lame 1:3.98.4-0.2 ii libc6 2.17-92 ii libncursesw5 5.9+20130608-1 ii libtinfo5 5.9+20130608-1 ii python 2.7.5-4 ii python-cddb 1.4-5.1+b3 ii python-eyed3 0.6.18-1 ii python-mutagen 1.21-1 ii python-pyvorbis 1.5-2 ii python-support 1.0.15 ii vorbis-tools 1.4.0-1 jack recommends no packages. jack suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
