In that case, discussions on the list will be limited to an abstract level, and to the input of those parents who don't care about how much the Web gets to know about their kids. Those parents who exercise care in not predefining their kids' online personae will not participate in the same way they would if they'd know that anything they say will be read only by a closed circle of people.
