Package: winbind Version: 2:3.6.6-6 Severity: Normal Dear Maintainer,
I use winbind for authentication. On upgrading from Debian 6 to Debian 7, pam authentication via winbind stopped working. Previously, installing winbind would include the necessary libraries/setup for pam and nss. Now libpam-winbind and libnss-winbind are required for an equivalent setup. This change has been documented in the package description, however notice that dist-upgrade will break authentication should be included during the upgrade.
