It seems that people is mixing the automount feature with the volume
disk feature. But, see the comments #7 and #8 of that bug, that's
exactly my problem.

"can't see removable devices" is probably a better description, like in
this ArchLinux forum thread:

But they use a weird workaround to avoid the problem.

Yes, it is. At least udisks is receiving the notification via udev when
I plug the android phone:

changed:     /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sdb
changed:     /org/freedesktop/UDisks/devices/sdb

I can attach the "udevadm monitor --environment" logs if you want, but
they seem normal (and they are big). The kernel logs are also right, the
only missing lines are the corresponding ones to the mount syscall.
