Which actual problem would that be? The one where if you force-override the declared package dependencies then things break? Or the one where a package that is not yet in sid will require some binNMU's once it is? For the former you get to keep all the pieces. For the latter, the former will ensure that dovecot cannot migrate to testing until the needed job is done. Since Jaldhar knows he needs to do that, and has done for some years now, and very likely isn't subscribed to this bug anyway, I'm not sure whose personal to-do list you think this should be.
