Interesting. I just looked at the kernel config and, actually, this kernel is
built with CONFIG_MK7=7, so, no, it's not a 64-bit kernel. I don't remember
right now, but I guess I must have had the same idea and dropped back to a
32-bit kernel.
Sorry, it looks like my bug report was incorrect. The kernel config is
identical to 2.6.11-1-K7 (except with badram turned on).

I'm pretty swamped at the moment, but over the next few days I'll try building
it for straight i386 and see if that works any differently. I have replaced
my bad RAM with good stuff, so I've largely lost interest... but I'll follow
through anyway. While I'm at it, I'll update to 2.6.14, using the
linux-source package and the configuration from linux-image-2.6.14-1-386.
That way it will be easier for you to reproduce.
