Hi,

In my last update I said that 2.10.6 worked when compiled from the
debian source package (the binary from the repo would not install).

I compared the two code bases (2.10.6 and 2.10.7) and didn't find any
obvious problems.

I then compiled 2.10.7 from the debian source package and it too
worked correctly. I then removed the package I compiled and installed
the one from the debian repo. That also worked. I'll call this
mahine A.

Then, on a separate machine (machine B) where Pidgin was having the
same problem I did the following

    rm -f ~/.purple/certificates/x509/tls_peers/*.mydomain*
    sudo apt-get purge pidgin* libpurple*
    sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install -t unstable pidgin

but that didn't help. Even installing the 2.10.7 version I compiled
on machine A on machine B (both are amd64) didn't work.

I then installed the 2.10.6 binaries I compiled on machine A on
machine B and it worked. I then upgraded pidgin to 2.10.7 for the
debian repo and it also worked.

Still not sure what is going on here.
