Current version is now slimserver 6.2.0 I would also be interested in this. It has to be one of the better/best commercial audio players out there, it has GPL'd server software, and there is a community behind it providing plugins for it.
It's a shame they don't provide a .deb (only perl source, RPM, MSWindows and Mac OSX).
