Package: liballegro4.4
Version: 2:4.4.2-4
Severity: wishlist

Hi all,

I just spend quite a while figuring out why our 'ballz' package didn't
play the music tune as it used to.

I eventually understood that I needed to install
liballegro4.4-plugin-alsa, which is recommended by liballegro4.4, but
is not a dependency. You'll have figured out that I do not
automatically install recommended packages.

As a package developer, I'd like to make it clear that 'ballz' depends
on sound being available - I don't want people to mistakenly believe
it's a silent game. I typically do not have this issue with SDL where
sound is available by default.

So I'm wondering whether it's better to add a dependency to
'liballegro4.4-plugin-alsa' in 'ballz' or in 'liballegro4.4'.

Thoughts?
Sylvain
