Cedric, The differences between the git repo and that latest stable packages are because master in the facter repo has not yet been released. It is targeted for a Facter 2 release. This bug is captured in https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/7559 upstream. I don't know how big the changeset for this bug is, so I don't know how easy it would be to pull in as a patch.
