IIRC I did it this way because I was concerned of things silently wedging and not reacting to temperature increases (and overheating, causing the disks to fail etc etc), whereas printing lets you see that it is working but there is no need for a change. But in hindsight I think you are correct and it is just too noisy. I'll most likely incorporate something along the lines of your suggested change in a future upload. Thanks!
