Package: slim
Version: 1.3.4-2
Followup-For: Bug #692148

I can confirm the same issue. When I switched init systems to
systemd, slim would accept username and password and then just
hang rather than starting my session. The slim.log file just says:

slim: waiting for X server to begin accepting connections.

I switched to gdm3, and it was able to bring the session up without
any difficulty.
