ii libgcc1 1:4.0.1-8 GCC support library

ii xlibs 6.8.2.dfsg.1-7 X Window System client libraries m

So finally, since I'm running testing, and packages have migrated into it, I have quite a similar envonment as you do:

ii libc6 2.3.5-6 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an
hi libgcc1 1:4.0.2-3 GCC support library
ii libqt3-mt 3:3.3.5-1 Qt GUI Library (Threaded runtime v
ii  libstdc++6                4.0.2-3        The GNU Standard C++ Library v3
ii libx11-6 6.8.2.dfsg.1-7 X Window System protocol client li
ii libxext6 6.8.2.dfsg.1-7 X Window System miscellaneous exte
ii xlibs 6.8.2.dfsg.1-7 X Window System client libraries m

But I can't reproduce the bug here. Are you still seeing the bug? Could it be that it's platform specific (i.e. you running on powerpc)?
