Hi,

lftp doesn't remove hidden files and therefore fail to remove directories
with hidden files, especially rm -r fails.

The lftp manpage gives a workaround:
> Some ftp servers hide dot-files by default (e.g. .htaccess), and
> show them only when LIST command is used with -a option. In such case
> try to use `set ftp:list-options -a'.

With this setting rm -r succeeds in removing hidden files.
