I'm using Debian Jessie and have been using the KDE desktop but just chose to install gnome to try this out. However, when using Gnome the suspend keyboard button (fn-suspend, or fn-f3 as it is on my keyboard, a toshiba laptop) no longer works. I am still able to suspend using one of the gnome shell extensions, but not using keyboard buttons and I can't find an option to enable this keyboard shortcut.
