Thanks for getting in touch. I should be able to work on both next month
(and indeed started already).

That's still an open question in my mind. I think I at least need
to ask upstream how stable they consider the API for extensions
between 4.0 and 4.2. Major incompatibilities there is probably the
biggest reason to consider a move to request-tracker4.2, and it is quite
a lot more work I'd be keen to avoid without due cause.
