Package: fontconfig
Version: 2.11.0-2
Severity: normal
File: /usr/bin/fc-cache

* What led up to the situation?
I have a collection of fonts in my ~/.fonts folder. One of the fonts is a
Hebrew font called "Aharoni Bold". The file name is ahronbd.ttf. This file
existed in my ~/.fonts folder for a Wheezy installation with XFCE. I then
performed a distribution upgrade to Jessie. When I logged in for the first
time, XFCE's panels wouldn't load. They crashed and retried over and over.
Eventually I narrowed it down to a problem with my ~/.fonts folder, and later
to that specific font.

* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)?
I remove and readded fonts to my ~/.fonts folder and ran "fc-cache -fv" until I
identified which font was causing the segmentation fault.

* What was the outcome of this action?
Removing that font resolved the issue.

* What outcome did you expect instead?
I expected the font to be handled properly as it is in Wheezy.

Here is a link that can be used to download the font in question:

This issue is important because this font is also included in a default Windows
7/Windows 8 installation, so there may be many users who have copied their
fonts over from Windows and may encounter this problem.
