Package: xymon-client Version: 4.3.0~beta2.dfsg-9.1 Severity: normal Tags: ipv6
Dear Maintainer, /usr/lib/hobbit/client/bin/hobbitclient-linux.sh calls netstat -ant to get a list of all ports of the server. The default behavior of netstat -ant is to use fixed column width for addresses, which means that long IPv6 addresses are cut. I like to do some port tests in xymon, which sometimes require to see the full IPv6 address. For this netstat allows to add the -W option, which displays the complete IPv6 addresses (breaking the column layout). So I suggest adding the -W option to the above netstat call. As far as I can see, -W doesn't break the port parser of xymon-server. The problem also exists in experimental version 4.3.11-1.
