This bug looks the same as #335885 ("mklibs: [powerpc] failfs when
building the gtk d-i.")
Took me three days to get to the same conclusions :(
Anyway, I tried to reproduce the same problem with cross-linkers
targeting different arches:
ld -soname=libc.so.6 ${SYM} -o ./foo ./libc6/lib/libc.so.6
Where SYM is one of h_errno, errno, __resp
Segfault happens on PPC, sparc, amd64
Does not on i386, mips, m68k
