The --enable and --disable options *cannot* be used on Debian sarge and testing, and they should never be used by a Debian package even in sid. Call it a bug; but it would be a more serious bug to just continue and pretend that all is well (while the changes made will be overwritten the next time a package is installed or reconfigured that installs TeX fonts). > Also the postinst and postrm have a call to updmap-update and texhash > which actually doing the same when installing from source. It's update-updmap, by the way. People interested in this should have a look at the Debian TeX Policy Draft in the tex-common package. >From the point of view of the teTeX maintainer, the fix is the right one, but I can't say whether thailatex needs further adjustments.
