Package: evolution-rss Version: 0.3.91-2 Severity: normal Evolution-RSS ignores the proxy settings in Evolution. I tested this by setting the SOCKS proxy to 127.0.0.1:9050 (I have Tor installed) and the HTTP and HTTPS proxies to 127.0.0.1:8123 (I have Polipo installed and forwarding to Tor). I then turned off Tor (service tor stop) and clicked the Send/Receive button, which checks all mail accounts and feeds. The connection to the mail server was rejected, as expected, but the feeds were updated normally, and when checking with netstat I saw that evolution was connecting to the feed servers directly, bypassing the proxys.
I would have expected the feeds to fail as well, since the proxy they were supposed to use had been disabled. -- System Information: Debian Release: 7.3 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 3.10-0.bpo.2-686-pae (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages evolution-rss depends on: ii evolution 3.4.4-3 ii evolution-data-server 3.4.4-3 ii gconf-service 3.2.5-1+build1 ii gconf2 3.2.5-1+build1 ii libatk1.0-0 2.4.0-2 ii libc6 2.17-92 ii libcairo-gobject2 1.12.2-3 ii libcairo2 1.12.2-3 ii libcamel-1.2-33 3.4.4-3 ii libebackend-1.2-2 3.4.4-3 ii libebook-1.2-13 3.4.4-3 ii libedataserver-1.2-16 3.4.4-3 ii libedataserverui-3.0-1 3.4.4-3 ii libenchant1c2a 1.6.0-7 ii libevolution 3.4.4-3 ii libgcc1 1:4.7.2-5 ii libgconf-2-4 3.2.5-1+build1 ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 2.26.1-1 ii libglib2.0-0 2.33.12+really2.32.4-5 ii libgtk-3-0 3.4.2-7 ii libgtkhtml-4.0-0 4.4.4-1 ii libgtkhtml-editor-4.0-0 4.4.4-1 ii libjavascriptcoregtk-3.0-0 1.8.1-3.4 ii libnspr4 2:4.9.6-1~bpo70+1 ii libnss3 2:3.15.2-1~bpo70+1 ii libnss3-1d 2:3.15.2-1~bpo70+1 ii libpango1.0-0 1.30.0-1 ii libsoup-gnome2.4-1 2.38.1-2 ii libsoup2.4-1 2.38.1-2 ii libsqlite3-0 3.7.16.2-1~bpo70+1 ii libstdc++6 4.7.2-5 ii libwebkitgtk-3.0-0 1.8.1-3.4 ii libxml2 2.8.0+dfsg1-7+nmu2 evolution-rss recommends no packages. evolution-rss suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
