The explanation for that seems simple enough: this drive itself is not a
multiple of 1 MiB in size, the partition was using the whole drive, and
I never told gparted to change the end position of the partition.

If gparted had insisted on ignoring the last 89600 bytes of the drive,
I'd probably have changed to "None" alignment (if I noticed).
