My installation of Icedove wouldn't open links in a browser, it would keep asking me to select what program to use to open the link. It turns out the root cause is a missing file, /usr/lib/icedove/components/components.manifest. I grabbed the latest tarball from upstream, and copied the file, and now clicking on links works again.
