Why do you request the use of OpenJDK given that GCJ is availale? :)
It's better supported, and it's a lot faster; although the speed doesn't really matter for subversion build - only for tests maybe...
And I don't think Oracle hegemony is really relevant since OpenJDK is also free software and is also licensed under a copyleft license.
Of course severity=wishlist but I'm sure it will be needed to switch to OpenJDK some day.
