Jean-Luc's stack trace seems to suggest we're dealing with an old fftw3
bug here (see #219688, #255755, #259612, or even #265193). The fftw3
changelog suggests that a lot of similar bugs have been closed:

I'm reassigning and closing this old fftw3 bug, please reopen it (or
mail me) if you still get the bug.
