Package: lynx-cur
Version: 2.8.8pre5-1
Severity: important

I've added

SSL_CERT_DIR:/home/vinc17/wd/config/cacert

to my $LYNX_CFG file as some web sites such as www.inria.fr need
a specific certificate not provided by the system. Tests with
curl and wget (and adequate config files) via strace show that
the certificate is taken from this directory. But lynx cannot
find the local issuer, and

  strace -f -o str.out lynx https://www.inria.fr

shows that nothing is read from the above directory.

The lynx man page says:

SSL_CERT_DIR Set to the directory containing trusted
                        certificates.
