Please, be specific about the stated several packages.
- - mutt: Asking to prove a certificate that a normal user cannot know how
- - ldap: Doesn't connect anymore with no hint in the error message (In

- - Net::LDAP from Perl (The same)
- - wget; you have to trust every certificate there without exception if
there is no root certificate available.

The one above are just examples I use more or less often. There are many
more that a simple user of my system might use who has no clue what to
do with the warning or the error.
