Package: proftpd-basic Version: 1.3.5~rc4-1+b1 Followup-For: Bug #594449 This issue seems due to mod_facl and can be workarounded by commenting out the LoadModule statement in /etc/proftpd/modules.conf. It would allow logrotate to consistently work with a proper HUP instead of a restart. Of course fixing mod_facl would be better.
