It aims to be for CalDAV and CardDAV what OfflineIMAP is for IMAP. I created a RFP for khal (https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=745025), which will soon depends on vdirsyncer. I heavily use OfflineIMAP, imapfilter, ... and there is a need for such tools calendar oriented. As I said with a lot of details in khal RFP, I am interested in becoming an official debian maintainer. Regards François
