Package: qemu-system
Version: 2.0.0+dfsg-2
Severity: important

Hello,

On a Debian Sid system that is up-to-date as of today, when I use qemu-system-*
(i.e. qemu-system-i386, qemu-system-x86_64, ...) with the SDL user interface, I
cannot use the Ctrl+Alt+2 keyboard shortcut from within the GUI window in order
to access qemu's "monitor" mode. Similarly, Ctrl+Alt+f does not switch to
full-screen mode either. Because these are important features in qemu, I marked
this bug report as important.

While trying to debug this issue, I rebuilt the qemu (2.0.0+dfsg-2) source
package with a modification to the debian/control-in file which forces qemu
to be compiled against SDL 1.2 (as opposed to the maintainer's default of
SDL 2.0). With SDL 1.2 the aforementioned keyboard shortcuts work as intended
and as expected.

Is there any possibility of uploading a version of qemu 2.0.0+dfsg compiled
against SDL 1.2 to Debian unstable, at least until this issue with SDL 2.0
is resolved?

Thank you,

Vefa
