Package: systemd-shim Followup-For: Bug #746242 If you compare /etc/dbus-1/system.d/org.freedesktop.systemd-shim.conf with /etc/dbus-1/system.d/org.freedesktop.systemd1.conf you'll notice that the systemd-shim policy is much more limited/restricted then the systemd one.
I talked to Simon McVittie, the upstream and Debian maintainer of dbus, about this. There is no way to fix this via the D-Bus policy. Simon recommends that systemd-shim simply ships the same configuration as systemd itself does. It does try to emulate its interfaces after all. systemd-shim should ensure that this is secure.
